Kendall Jackson decommits

On the same day Florida gets a commitment back from defensive lineman Michai Boireau, Gainesville defensive lineman Kendall Jackson decommits from the Gators.

In what looks like a mutual move both parties, four-star Jackson had this to say on social media about his decommitment:

“First, I’d like to thank Coach Napier for the opportunity to play the game I love at the University of Florida. I’d also like to thank Coach Peterson and Coach Armstrong for the opportunity as well. However, after much prayer and many conversations with my family, I have decided it is in my best interest to decommit from The University of Florida. Thank you.”

Jackson is ranked as the 405th overall player on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and is the 44th ranked defensive lineman. He committed to Florida in June, but recently, Jackson joins the ranks of four-star edge Jamonta Waller, four-star defensive back Wardell Mack, and four-star Nasir Johnson as players who have backed off from their commitments to the Gators in recent weeks.
