Highly ranked DB Wardell Mack commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators add to their excellent 2024 recruiting class with the addition of top defensive back Wardell Mack. Mack becomes the 22nd overall recruit for the Florida class of 2024 that ranks 3rd on both the 247 Sports Composite and the On3 Industry Rankings.

Florida beat out Texas and LSU for Mack’s commitment. The Louisiana native last visited Gainesville at the end of July after planning to visit both Florida and LSU that weekend. Mack only visited Gainesville.

Class Notes

Wardell Mack is the 22nd commit for Florida’s class of 2024. He is the second cornerback commit along with Teddy Foster and the fourth defensive back in addition to Xavier Filsaime and safety Josiah Davis. Mack is also the 12th commit for the defensive side of the ball.

Overall, Florida’s class now has two five stars, 13 four stars, and seven three stars according to 247 Sports.
