The Florida Gators have secured their third commitment for the class of 2025, and it’s a big one. They’ve managed to pull in the highly-touted defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins from Tallahassee, Florida. This marks their highest-ranked commitment for this class so far, and it’s a significant addition to their defensive front. Wiggins made his commitment to the Gators after having an impressive visit to the university this past Saturday.

Wiggins is a major get for the Gators, with recruiting services nationwide taking note of his skills. According to the On3 Industry rankings, he holds an impressive four-star recruit status. He is ranked as the 82nd overall player in the incoming class of 2025, marking him as a top-tier talent nationally. Furthermore, he is considered the eighth-best defensive lineman in the country. It’s not just On3 that recognizes his potential, 247 Sports also gives Wiggins a four-star rating. They place him slightly higher in their rankings, listing him as the 92nd overall recruit and the seventh-best defensive lineman in the nation.
Standing tall at 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 pounds, Wiggins is a force to be reckoned with on the field. Wiggins mentioned to On3 that the Gators’ coaching staff appreciate his versatility on the defensive line. In the Gators’ strategy, he will be utilized in the “F” position along the defensive line, a role that allows him to use his size and agility to best effect opposing quarterbacks
With Wiggins’ commitment, Florida’s class of 2025 now includes three players. Wiggins joins 4-star running back Waltez Clark and 3-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah.
