Will Griffin’s Hudl Highlights
Though not the deciding factor, Griffin confessed his childhood admiration for the Gators, given his father attended the University of Florida. Will mentioned having attended many Florida games growing up. Griffin visited the Gators more than any other school during the recruiting process. He had an extensive view of their operations. Earlier this spring, he observed the Gators on the practice field, focusing on how the quarterbacks have developed under Billy Napier, Ryan O’Hara, and Russ Callaway. The school emphasizes player development, and Griffin noticed the significant improvement in both Graham Mertz and DJ Lagway since they arrived on campus.
Griffin has attracted attention from top programs like Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Ohio State, and more. The 247Sports Composite currently ranks him as the Nation’s No. 89 overall prospect and the No. 7 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Griffin is the No. 8 quarterback and No. 104 recruit nationally.
