Starting with the headliner of the class, DJ Lagway offers everything you would want in a quarterback, being able to make plays through the air and on the ground. Lagway is a consensus five-star recruit, rated highly by 247Sports, ESPN, On3, and Rivals. Rivals ranks him as the No. 1 recruit in his position group, while 247Sports, ESPN, and On3 rank him at No. 2. Lagway was also named the 2023 MaxPreps Player of the Year.

In his high school career, Lagway appeared in 42 games and completed 569 of 874 passes (.651) for 8,392 yards and 100 touchdowns. He also rushed for 2,196 yards on 293 carries with 29 scores. In his senior year alone, he completed 290 passes (.721) for 4,604 yards and 58 touchdowns.

Joining Lagway in the backfield are two running backs who consistently put up impressive numbers. Kahnen Daniels from Mississippi is ranked as a four-star recruit by 247Sports Composite, ESPN, On3, and Rivals. He was named MHSAA 5A Mr. Football and led West Point to a 5A State Championship, earning MVP honors in the game.

Daniels had a total of 288 carries, 2,737 rushing yards, and 29 touchdowns in his senior year. He also had a standout game with 427 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Throughout his career, Daniels accumulated 5,541 rushing yards, 58 touchdowns, and averaged 9.9 yards per carry. He also threw for eight touchdowns on 88 passing attempts.

A late addition to the 2024 class was Jadan Baugh. Baugh joined the class after decommitting from Arkansas, and the Gators successfully recruited him over Alabama. Baugh is ranked as a four-star recruit by On3, 247Sports Composite, and Rivals. Hailing from Georgia, Baugh had an impressive season, rushing for 1,583 yards on 113 carries, averaging 14 yards per carry, and scoring 19 touchdowns. Baugh demonstrated his potential during his junior season when he rushed for 306 yards on 15 carries, averaging 20.4 yards per carry, and scored 3 touchdowns.

He also contributed on the defensive side of the ball, seeing snaps at running back, quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back. In the 2023 season, he recorded 54 tackles (37 solo), seven pass breakups, and six interceptions.

With these talented additions, Billy Napier and the Gators have bolstered the offense, allowing them to showcase their skills both in the air and on the ground.
